Colourful Macaroons

Colourful macaroons are the hardest to take pictures of. There is this great colour contrast amongst them and of course, they are round like tiny wheels which could easily roll on the floor.

The name Macaroon came from the Italian word, maccarone meaning paste. It was said that macaroons can be traced to a 9th century Italian monastery and had appeared in recipe books as early as 1725.

Since Macaroons are bombarded with sugar, I don't particularly like them for their taste. But I can't resist their colours!
